Doesn't output the amount of cool air as hoped.I had high hopes for this product, hoping it would help vertically circulate air in my 500ct humidor. No such luck, the fan emits on the faintest of air streams. Only giving 2 stars because it does technically work, the unit’s build quality seems decent, and it might have an application in very small humidors.Sturdy, high quality, quiet. My only issue is that it is VERY lightweight when it comes to moving air. It's the faintest of breezes. I honestly don't think it would move enough air except in the smallest 25-30 cigar capacity desktop humidors, and then I have to ask...what's the point? A humidor that size doesn't need a fan! I bought this for a 4 level, 200 (ish) cigar capacity humidor that looks like a small end table and I don't think it's going to move enough air in that humidor. I just wanted a bit of air movement up and down the levels of that humidor. After several weeks I see no change in humidity level across the levels (I have a hygrometer measuring each level so I can figure out the ideal setup of humidifiers, fan location, etc.). I'm bummed because it's a very well made fan and small setup that fits great in the humidor, but it just moves so little air.Well, it functions with no problems, but does it "work"? I think it depends on the specific manner in which you choose to use it. I rated this product 3 full stars, but it only receives this rating because it's very well made and it does function with no mechanical problems. However, the fan is weak and as a result, it doesn't really do what most folks would expect by pushing air in any significant volume. It's also quite expensive. At the time of this purchase and review, $35USD is quite a chunk of change for a little battery operated fan. Now, I didn't buy this expecting too much, and I knew exactly what I needed it for, so those 3 stars are well deserved. I placed this Xikar fan inside my Coleman Cooler because it normally has no airflow at all. And that's the great thing about this little item because I do not need much air movement, just enough to circulate air a little bit to prevent staleness from developing. I keep the setup simple, and everything works well enough. Don't expect this thing to push air around a large humidor effectively because it just won't. It's a simple, self contained battery operated unit and it functions, but it's costly.UPDATE: As of 5/2019 and to this day I no longer use this item because the battery compartment would acquire moisture, the batteries would be heavily impacted, and the unit would fail. I tried several times, and on every occasion, the batteries would end up being a sticky, wet mess and the unit wouldn't work. I'm thinking the battery compartment needs to be sealed air tight. I updated with images also.Just ordered a third one for my other humidors. Love it....keep in mind it doesn't take a whole lot to move the air around your humidor.I have a few humidors and if they don't have the automatic humidifier in them which has a fan built it, I have one of these in it. I check my humidors several times a day and they've all improved by sticking one of these inside. You don't have to rotate, and it moves the humidity which forms at the top all around the humidor. I have hydrometers in the tops and bottoms of each humidor. I've see the bottom hydrometer start matching up with the top ones with the use of these. It's simple, if one breaks or wears out, buy another. Your cigars are worth a heck of a lot more than it costs to buy a few of these. Please keep in mind that humidity is lighter than air and rises to the top so it doesn’t take much air pressure to circulate humidity. Having cigars can be an expensive hobby depending on what you buy and enjoy. The reason for this awesome device is so that you don’t have to manually rotate your cigars, it circulates the humidity so you don’t have to. Be aware, by using higher rpm fans this will dry your cigars totally out. This device is designed with the right airflow needed to circulate humidity in your humidor and without drying your cigars. Always monitor your humidifier and keep the recommended humidity for your cigars.Really works as described. Circulates the properly humidified air in the humidor. Just keep your cigars away from the fan, so it can properly move the air around. I am usually an Amazon Prime shopper, of course this is not Prime eligible, and normally would have just skipped it, but I wanted it enough to shop UN Prime for this. I am really glad I got it. A green indicator light flashes every so often, to let you know the batteries are fine, and the unit is operating. A red light would indicate to change the batteries. Keeps the humidor nice and fresh. Give it a try. Really great Xikar product. Not what I expected. Started out great. But after 3 weeks batteries started to create the acid dust on the prongs. The unit allowed to much humidity in. I bought 2 for 2 100 count cigar desktop humidors. One went out just after the 30 day warranty and the seller did honor the switch. Thank you. But these need to be cleaned and checked weekly. Don’t place in and forget it. You need to make sure it does not leak. Might have to rotate a set of batteries every week or 2. I stopped using mine for the time being. Maybe I’ll go back to them down the road. But they did help with rotating the humidity and air inside the humidor. Forget getting help from Xikar, they never returned emails on this or answered phone. Disappointed on that. Poor service on your products. It doesn't work. When I press the mode button, the fan runs for 5 seconds , then stops and doesn't come on again. I've emailed the seller but no reply, so I'm afraid the customer service matches the product. NO STARSIt works. Would like to know about battery status thoughIch wollte das Produkt unbedingt haben deswegen habe ich das zweimal weggeschickt. Bin enteuscht
