OK...I've been a coffee "snob" for years...have spent up to $100+ a pound for Kopi Luwak coffee, regularly purchase Jamaica Blue Mountain, Wallingford Estate beans and at work I've been drinking "down and dirty, quick and easy" K-Cups...(mostly bad, with a few terrible thrown in for good measure...but, convenient).I've had a Senseo coffee maker for about 8 - 9 years. I had packed it away when I moved (about 4 - 5 years ago) and promptly forgot about it after purchasing the Keurigs (twice) and Cuisinart (twice) all of which failed within a year or two and never really made good coffee. Just before XMAS, my second Cuisinart crashed and burned on me...I didn't want to do the French press route (too messy and time consuming) didn't want another "unreliable" K-Cup machine and suddenly remembered I had a Senseo packed away somewhere. Digging through my garage, I found it. After about 30 minutes of trying to get water through it, it started working again.I soon found out that you could no longer buy the Senseo pods in your local grocery store. Being the one stop shop for everything, I searched Amazon and found these Senseo - Extra Strong Coffee Pods. Overall, priced about the same as a most K-Cup brands, I decided that I would give them a try. I am VERY GLAD that I did. The coffee is really good...now, don't think it will replace the $100 a pound coffee experience, but it blows any and all K-Cup varieties away, no problem! There are a couple of "tricks" to get the best experience out of the pods. First, dip the pod in a little warm water to get it prepped for the machine, second...warm the cream in the bottom of your cup (if you use cream or flavored coffee additives) and if you like your coffee strong (but still smooth) toss in a second pod and hit the button. You're about 30 seconds away from "quick" coffee, single serving nirvana. It's a handy way to make a decent cup of coffee.Good flavor & super convenient!I love the ease of use, the short brewing time, the taste and the foam! And that I can even re-use the pad to get a little extra if I press "1 Cup" twice to make it stronger after finishing the first mug. The price of the coffee, too, is about the same as I would pay for the Trader Joes beans that I had been using. And the foam!!!Pleasantly surprised by the good flavor and fair price. I like a tip of sail to smooth any bitterness with dark roasts. This one may not need it? Definitely a reorder Brand!I love a strong and flavorful cup of coffee in the morning. With this I use two pads on my Senseo for a nice big mug on the 2cup setting. It makes a nice creamy and frothy top.I have used this coffee for several years. Good taste, good quality and good value. The pods are fine, but they are packaged in a bag, which was shipped in an envelope, and long story short: the packaging ruptured before reaching me. The flavor seems fine, and I don’t believe the integrity of the product was affected, but I would have preferred to receive them undamaged.Great flavour every time. My Senseo is my ‘go to’ coffee machine and I am never disappointed with Senseo Coffee. These extra strong pads are full of flavour. If it wasn’t for Amazon UK I would find it extremely hard to buy these pads in the UK as Tesco have stopped selling them.Easy to use and good flavour.Really good value for money pack. Excellent taste & creama.Very nice flavour and fresh great coffeeIt is what it says on the packet. Ideal for my coffee machine.
