I generally wear a size 13 or 14. Initially I tried the $75-ish Sedicis. I could make neither size work. The toe box was too narrow; my feet are long, but not generally wide. The Cortechs fit really well. I ended up with the 14's and might have been able to make the 13's work too. Compared with the Sedicis, these offer more protection: the toe box is more stout, same with the heel and ankle protection. I've only used them once so far, so I can't speak to their durability yet, but they seem well made. I only wish the perforated fake leather were a super protective more ventilated nylon instead. I think they'll end up being on the toasty side. These are very solidly made shoes, and look like they'd work well for summer riding, but unfortunately were too narrow for my feet. The toes are quite pointed as well.I'm tempted to try a size larger, and may still. But they really need to be a bit wider, IMO, for the average foot. For the record, I take a 45 or size 11, and normal width is usually OK on me.If you have narrow to normal width feet, these are definitely worth a try.
